QUEST BEGINS – 2009

SATURDAY - MAY 9^TH – FULL MOON – INTROSPECTION PORTION [4 WEEKS]

You must be registered by this date in order to start the 4 weeks of introspection and have the documents and items needed to begin.

Begins SATURDAY – JUNE 6^TH, and runs through the 7^{TH and} 8^TH - PHYSICAL PORTION OF QUEST

Participants of Quest,

This is not a traditional Native American Quest. A trip to the Mountain is quite different but we have created a Quest for you that we hope is very close to the traditional way to Quest.

Due to our limitations here we are unable to offer a Traditional Quest. However, we felt it was in the best interests of those who desire to embrace this way to seek vision into self or into Spirit to offer something comparable.

Your Quest will begin on the Full Moon in the Month before. During the Month you will address each aspect of self. You will be focusing each week on a different aspect of self, element and direction on the Medicine wheel in order to assist you in your personal growth and introspection. In the energies of the full Moon the next month we will do the Physical portion of the Quest. Also during this time you will be making prayer ties. These will be used to create your Medicine Wheel. 107 prayer ties will be created.

That Saturday we will begin with a Sweat. We sweat around noonish. After Sweat we go to the Quest grounds. There you will find an area to create your Medicine Wheel using your prayer ties. Once you have prayed with your space and created your wheel, you will enter it seeking vision and not come outside your wheel until Monday morning, when Spirit speaks to your heart and you know you are finished. Sometimes our vision or our answers come in the first day, in the first sweat even, and sometimes in the last minutes of our time in circle, or the last sweat. You must remain open without expectation and receive what Spirit intends to send. What you think you seek may not be what you find.

We will return Monday to sweat again [noonish] at which time your quest will be complete.

Traditionally, a fee is not requested for a Native who is questing with their Medicine Person. However, this quest is offered to a group of people and we make provision for many things that require us to support this effort financially. Because of this, we do ask for a fee. Your time and focus as well as this fee becomes your investment in your personal, spiritual growth. Much effort from many people is extended to make this a complete growing experience for you. We are very grateful for the helpful people that are dedicated to being of service to the work of Spirit.

If our fee offends you, then this may not be the quest for you. If our fee is unattainable for you then please contact us and we can open discussion regarding your circumstances that are limiting your contribution for the quest.
