However, traditions and ceremony are performed during this Quest. This is being provided in this way because we feel the vision, growth and wellness that comes from Quest should be made available to all relations. We offer this forum so that the benefits can be attained by all..

Deciding to Quest.....

Before you decide to Quest, you need to know if you are meant to Quest. How do you know? Prayerful time must be spent in determining this. Creator will direct your steps. Know why you are Questing. Your heart will speak this to you. If you desire more balance and harmony within yourself, knowing yourself and how to achieve a connection to all that is or you desire to know more of your purpose in this Earth walk or maybe there is other questions of the heart you seek answers for, Quest may be the forum in which Creator wants to reveal things to you. You must pray and know before you begin this journey.

About the Preparation for Quest.......

We begin on the full moon, one month before the actual physical quest. Our focus each week will be on each element and teachings of the Sacred tree and the Medicine Wheel for that specific direction, beginning with the East, the place of fire, of the Eagle and Spirit, Ending in the North, the place of wind, of the mind and of quiet reflection. During each week as part of your Quest, you will be asked to do some activities that will include preparing prayer ties for that week to be used in the (Osi) Sweat Lodge the first day of Quest. The traditions followed for this Quest will be based mainly on Cherokee traditions and traditional teachings according to how I have been taught til now and know them today. As Creator continues to direct and teach me in the ways of my people and other traditional ways, these practices may vary in the future.

About the Physical portion of the Quest.........

We hold our Quests during the Full of the Moon because we believe this assists in tapping into Spirit Power and aids in release and vision during the Quest. Quest is at least a 2 day time frame in Nature and can last up to 3 days. During the Quest we have Medicine People, Guardians and/or Supporters that will keep in prayer and with watchful eye over you through the Quest. The Medicine of the drum will be heard during your Quest at different times.

The morning of the first day will begin with prayers, and a Sweat Lodge. All participants and supporters will be expected to Sweat. This is part of your Quest and traditional. After the Sweat we will proceed to the Quest propertry where you will choose your power place, where you will create your sacred space for the remaining portion of your Quest.

You will hear the medicine of the drum at a distance as Grandfather sun sets, Grandmother Moon rises above the trees and when Grandfather sun rises again. New Medicine will be called in with traditional song at sunrise as the new dawn greets us.

Our Guided Quests are held outdoors in a forest area, alive with the energies of the Stone People, The Standing People, The Animal Relations, Sky Nation and Mother Earth.

After everyone has been called in from their personal sites we will hold talking circle and complete the Quest. Sweat is traditionally held again on our return to my home. Light Food will be provided after sweat.

Documents containing suggestions, guidance and instructions for what you will need the weekend of Quest are provided for each participant. We look forward to Questing with you. Sandy LittleLizard

Traditional Quest has a very different forum than this Quest. Going to the Mountain truly extends our limits. I believe our forum used can be very effective but should not be confused with a Traditional Native American Quest.

There are no fees required in a Traditional Native American Quest. Food and items needed are provided by the supporters and yourself. As in the Traditional way, this is not done for a Quester without some form of gratitude exchange made to the Medicine Person who is directing the Quest.

With our Quest you are expected to be responsible for certain things in your own quest, but many things will be provided for you. We will work closely with you as you venture in this journey. Documents will be given to you as guidelines and suggestions for self discovery, as well as counsel during your 4 week introspection journey. We extend appropriate compensation for the use of the property we Physically Quest on, among other things that arrise with each Quest.

Consequently, a fee is expected from participants in our Quests and is due at our initial meeting one month before the Physical Quest. We feel this also helps you to commit to the full Quest.

Presently the group rate is $75.00 per participant, due at the beginning of the four week prep time. We prefer this way of "gratitude exchange" for making this available to you. If you require a private quest please contact us for rates and availability.
